I will no longer be updating this blog… Mr. Gilbert and I now have a JOINT blog so you’ll only have to check in ONE place! Please check it out and bookmark it: http://salem5thgrade.wordpress.com/ Due to Iowa Basic Testing this week, there will be NO Memory or Spelling. Get lots of sleep and be sure to eat a healthy breakfast!! He’s just as precious as we knew he’d be!! 7 lbs. 2 oz. 20 inches THANKS SO MUCH for all of your love and best wishes! Mommy and baby are enjoying our time together. No baby yet!… Here are some things to keep in mind THIS month:
Talk about feeling loved, overwhelmed, blessed, spoiled, and special ALL at the same time… Thank you for the amazing baby shower today! Mr. Gilbert and I are so grateful for all of your love and generous gifts. How special and memorable to celebrate such a precious time with all of you! Don’t forget tomorrow is Donut Day AND Dress Alike Day! Mr. Gilbert and I will be wearing sports jerseys if you’d like to dress like us!… The Gilberts had such a warm response with their last musical endeavor that they decided to put their talents to work again! This time the Gilbert boys put together a little diddy for you… Try JibJab Sendables® eCards today!
Just a reminder to collect “memories” to bring to school tomorrow – remember these can be actual pictures, small items, etc. that you physically bring into class OR they can be digital pictures on your laptop. You do NOT have to put them into your Writer’s Notebook yet. We’ll be doing that in class tomorrow. Your ONLY job tonight is to collect the items and/or take pictures of the items and bring them to class tomorrow. Have fun! Thanks for the delicious ice cream and the fun time, Celeste and Dr. Kenney!
Thanks for another great week! There was A LOT of extra reading going on and that makes little old Mrs. Gilbert VERY HAPPY!
Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend! As always, let me know if you have any questions. In His service, Mrs. Gilbert
